ACCA EXAMINATIONS

The qualification provides truly global and transferable skills that are in high demand by employers in all sectors around the world.
TOTAL SUBJECTS: (new syllabus appilcable end 2007)
ACCA Examinations are grouped into three (3) parts with total 14 three-hour examinations, each with a pass mark of 50%.
Part 1:
Paper 1.1 - Preparing Financial Statements
Paper 1.2 - Financial Information for Management
Paper 1.3 - Managing People
Part 2:
Paper 2.1 - Information Systems
Paper 2.2 - Corporate and Business Law
Paper 2.3 - Business Taxation
Paper 2.4 - Financial Management and Control
Paper 2.5 - Financial Reporting
Paper 2.6 - Audit and Internal Review
Part 3:
Any two of the followings:
Paper 3.1 - Audit and Assurance Services
Paper 3.2 - Advanced Taxation
Paper 3.3 - Performance Management
Paper 3.4 - Business Information Management
And ALL the three core papers:
Paper 3.5 - Strategic Business Planning and Development
Paper 3.6 - Advanced Corporate Reporting
Paper 3.7 - Strategic Financial Management
Note :
• Exemption(s) up to five (5) papers – Part 1 and papers 2.1 & 2.2 - can be awarded to Vietnamese degree holders upon their claim to ACCA.
• Students will have ten years from the date of their registration to complete the examinations.
• In Part 1 and 2, students can sit up to four papers of their choice at any one sitting, but papers must be sat in order.
• Students must have completed all Part 1 papers before attempting any Part 3 papers.
• Students can sit up to four papers from Part 2 and Part 3, but papers must be sat in order.
• Students may attempt either one or two option papers at one examination session in any order. Option(s) may be changed at a subsequent examination session. Students are required to complete one of the option papers prior to attempting core papers 3.5, 3.6 & 3.7
• The three core papers must be sat together, but they can be sat along side an outstanding paper from Part 2 or one of the option papers so long as one of the optional paper has been passed.
• Credits gained successfully in Parts 1, 2 and the optional Part 3 papers can be retained. Only the core Part 3 papers must be taken and passed in the same examination session.

Oxford Brooks Degree
Upon completion of Part 2, students can have the opportunity to get Bachelor Degree in Applied Accounting issued by Oxford Brookes University. Marking fee is £50, payable to Oxford Brooks University on submission of the Research and Analysis Project.
In case a student for any reason is removed from ACCA student list and wants to re-join, he/she needs to pay the re-registration fee of £108.
Please note that the above are only the ACCA’s fee for examinations. The tuition fee and study text are not inclusive. Those costs shall be informed to you by the tuition provider – Bourne Griffiths or FTMS, and the publisher – BPP or AT Foulks Lynch
The fee structure is subject to change. ACCA will notify students of the changes.
CLOSING DATES FOR REGISTRATION:
For June Examination : 31 December (the preceding year)
For December Examination : 15 August (the same year)
Note : the above deadlines are for the documents to reach ACCA UK. Therefore, the deadlines when ACCA Vietnam Office receives your documents should be two weeks earlier (i.e. 1 August and 15 December)
HOW TO REGISTER ?
1. Fill in the Initial Registration Form for ACCA Professional Qualification (available in ACCA Vietnam Office)
2. Send the form to ACCA Vietnam Office before the deadline stated above
3. Attach with the form the supporting documents, including : copies of Birth Certificate, University Degree, Transcript, any other qualifications if available. All copies must be certified true copy and translated into English (sealed by Notary Public or a professional firm for translation )
4. Attach with the form the bank draft or any documents proving the payment of the registration fee.
