Payroll Accountant​

Our client is a 100% foreign owned manufacturing company of USA looking for an experienced person to fill the position of Payroll Accountant.
Requirements
Good interpersonal skills, people sensitive & discrete in handling confidential information
Highly motivated, results oriented, analytical, conscientious
Process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Must be hands-on and detailed oriented, with strong research and problem solving skills
Knowledge of Payroll process, tax implications, and statutory requirements
Good understanding of Vietnam regulatory requirements, employment agreements, and HR Policies on Compensation and Benefits
Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft and Kronos Time & Attendance Systems
Prior experience with SAP General Ledger, ADP Payroll, and Business Objects Crystal Reporting preferred
Aptitude for learning and systems and report writing tools
Capable of working within tight deadlines & able to thrive in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in internal controls (Sarbanes Oxley) and manufacturing environment



Responsibilities
Working closely with HR and MIS, participate as First Solar payroll expert during the Payroll Outsourcing project and enhancements, including blueprinting, testing, and documentation
Drive changes to the payroll system as needed to reflect new regulations or new Company policies
Work with outsourced payroll vendor for processing of monthly payroll
Analyze and review payroll files for accuracy before submission
Ensure all Payroll journal entries on payments, accruals and reversals are correctly posted to the SAP General Ledger
Perform Monthly reconciliation and provide details on payroll related accruals and reversals
Analysis of payroll expenses such as overtime, headcount, bonus, annual leave etc.
Liaise with HR department regarding employees’ wages payment
Liaise with Company bankers on timely payroll payout
Answer associates' queries on pay discrepancies or any queries related to Payroll
Identify, research, and assist in the resolution of Payroll related discrepancies
Prepare yearly Earning Assessment statement and related details for associates' yearly tax filling
Assist expatriates on income tax issues and liaise with Tax consultant on tax filing
Distribute pay slips for all categories of employees
Analyze and review periodic tax and compliance filings
Document processes and create training job aids
Define and create payroll reports to meet compliance and internal reporting requirements, working with MIS or consultants as appropriate
Perform other ad-hoc functions as and when required
