Hiện tại mình đang có một bài tập về depreciation, mong mọi người giúp!!
Kelly's Manufacturing purchased three computers for $2 500 each (plus 10% GST) on 13 Oct 2008 from Corecomp Pty Ltd. Additional memory was added to two of the computers at a cost of $ 200 (plus 10% GST) each on 13 October. Cash was paid for the additional memory.
It was decided to use the straight line method of depreciation for each computers with residual value of $100.
On 3 May 2009, the computer without the additional memory was traded in on a Pentium computers worth $3500 (plus 10% GST) to Corecomp Pty Ltd. The trade-in value of the original computer was $1900 (plus GST). It was anticipated that the Pentium computer would have a useful life of 3 years and a residual value of $900. Thee straight line method of depreciation is to be used. Prepare the ledger accounts to record this information to 30 June 2010.

- Nếu nó ghi plus 10% GST thì có nghĩa là GST inclusive hay exclusive??

To record the disposal of PPE, these steps are followed:
1- Depreciate the asset for that part of the Current accounting period for which the assets has been used.
2- Transfer the cost of the asset sold from the asset account to the Disposal Account
3- Transfer any depreciation that has accumulated on the asset sold from the Accumulate Depreciation A/C to the Disposal A/C.
4- Record the disposal Price of the Asset (if any) in the Disposal A/C
5- Determine whether a gain or loss has been made on the disposal of the asset.
*Formula for Accum Depn = original cost - residual value / useful life of asset.
Mình biết các steps này rất chi tiết và cụ thể. Nhưng phần depreciation này với mình khá là lằng nhằng và khó hiểu(, bởi mình mới chỉ học được vài ngày. Đây là chương trình của year12 accounting ở Úc.. 2 tuần nữa thi rồi mà vẫn còn chương e-business, reducing balance etccc.. (
